Not only did participating in the ASDP make me feel as like I belonged someplace, but it also assisted me in developing connections with my peers whom I consider to be my friends. The support and direction that I got from Allyson Clarke, Sidney Askew and my accounting teacher Judith Paquette were invaluable, and they inspired me to strive toward more ambitious objectives and succeed in spite of the challenges that I faced. I was given the chance to network with professionals from respected businesses like Deloitte, PwC, CohnReznick LLP, BDO, KPMG, and CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen) as part of the program, which made it possible for me to learn about a broad range of accounting related career paths and opportunities. It was an experience that truly left a lasting impression on me. ![]() The Accounting Scholars Development Program (ASDP) at Howard University in Washington DC, was like a dream come true for me when I was given the opportunity to participate in it. Recently, I had the the incredible privilege of joining Howard university’s one week long residential.
